I made this wedding wall hanging for Suzy & Marty. It was great fun working with the Bride’s bright colors!

This picture was taken before adding a wedding photo to the center. (Click photo to see the finished quilt.)

I made 2 other similar quilts for my kids for Valentine’s Day 2002. This was a fun exercise of making a quilt without measuring anything! I just cut the strips, borders and heart freehand and happily sewed them all together. I was still a novice at free motion quilting so quilting this was a big deal. I always prewash my fabrics, so I was very upset when one of the fabrics bled onto the yellow after blocking the quilt. (So, I covered it with the yo-yo!)
